Barbara is an intuitive, impressionistic artist. She recreates what she sees as accurately as possible, then adds her take on the subject. He goal is to reproduce what she sees and feels with enough ambiguity to invite those who view her art to participate.Barbara made her living as a graphic and fine artist. She plied her talents in the advertising agency, magazine business and as owner of a graphic arts and advertising sales company. All the while honing her skills as a fine artist, painting in the evenings. Her art hangs in homes throughout the country and can still be seen on billboards and advertisements in local and national venues. Barbara, for personal reasons took a ten-year hiatus from painting; she put brush to canvas again in 2004 when she moved to Yucca Valley in the high desert above Palm Springs California, where the desert became he Muse.She has had many one-woman shows, includeding a thirty-nine-piece exhibition at the 29 Palms Museum. She has also been the featured artist at A Roadside Attraction in 29 Palms, High Desert Water Company Yucca Valley and the High Desert Nature Museum Yucca Valley, the 29 Palms city hall and the High Desert Medical Center Joshua Tree, as part of an Art In Public Places program. Barbara's work may be seen hanging in one of the MBCAC's venues at any time, as well as at the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs..
Art affiliations include the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council, 29 Palms Artist guild, Chaparral Artist, and the Desert Art Canter in Palms Springs.
